OOPS

Bad girl on me. Just haven't had lots to update......and facebook gets all the updates I do have. We are all fine. Just sports, sports, sports.

School starts on the 17th. The girls are very excited. Rhett will be 11 on Tuesday and in the 6th grade. Read that again. 6th grade for goodness sake!!! Dannah will be in the 1st grade....and turn 7 in September.

No promises to do better about updating. But maybe I'll try.

Find me on facebook..... Leslie Greer Persinger.

Orthopedics.....keeping them in business

Remember March 30, 2008?
Dannah broke her ankle at church, except we didn't really
think that, so we didn't go to the doctor until the next day.

Fast forward to January 29, 2009.
Rhett broke her arm. I learned from the Dannah incident,
so I was quicker to the ER this time.

Welcome to March 27, 2009.
Merely 14 days since Rhett got her cast off.
Dannah fell at school. Again being the great mother I am,
we didn't do anything immediately. Went to the ER the next day.
Broken.
NOW the doctor tells me he was joking about us keeping them in business.

Blame facebook

My absence from here can solely be blamed on Facebook! OOPS! I'll try and do better, I promise. What's happened to us since January? Let's see, Rhett WAS playing ball every single weekend, until she broke her arm on January 29th. That put a quick halt to everything. She's out of her cast and in a splint, but had the lovely misfortune of having her chair jerked out from under her by a snot-nosed boy at school. Setback......so hopefully in about three weeks, she'll be back to playing ball!

Dannah played basketball also this year and her team won the regular season championship, the Christmas tournament, and the year-end tournament! She was thrilled!

Danny and I can be found either working, or running kids here and there.

Out with the old, in with the new......

What a blessed 2008 we had......we are thankful for our health, home, employment, family, friends. We hope the same is true for you and that 2009 will bring more of the same.

Merry Christmas

Probably haven't introduced you to our "foster" child. Meet Holly. That's her on the left! Junie on the right. Holly was found wandering and we were asked to foster her through the rescue that we found Junie. She was skin and bones when we got her almost three weeks ago. She's not staying.......and it's breaking my heart. I obviously can't be a foster mom........anyway, Merry Christmas from our home to yours!

Free to a good home......

My lack of posting can be directly attributed to little Miss Ralphie who not once, but TWICE, has chewed my computer power cord in two. Danny fixed it the first time. Not so lucky the second time. I have a loaner cord for now. AND THEN, the rascal has chewed my camera cord in two! Not sure what is up with her!
And I'm kidding about her being free to a good home. We wouldn't trade her for anything.
